  • Write about and describe your favorite smell.

November 17th–November 21

  • Describe a person in your life who has had a significant impact on who you are today.
  • Imagine you wake up 10 years younger. What do you do?
  • Plan the ultimate museum heist. 

November 10th–November 14th

  • Write the day in the life of an animal of your choice – real or fictional.
  • What’s a happy mistake that you’ve made?
  • Imagine you break a world record. Which one is it, and what did you do?

November 3rd–November 7th

  • What is your dream career? Describe your life having this career.
  • Write a story about the best or worst vacation ever.
  • How would you explain A.I. to someone from the 1900’s?

October 27th–October 31st

  • Write a story inspired by the last Tiktok, reel, or short video you watched. 
  • Would you rather be able to change the past or the future? Why?
  • Write a story that takes place on Halloween.

October 20th–October 24th

  • Write a letter to your middle school self. What would you want them to know?
  • Plan the best and biggest prank the school will ever witness. 
  • What is your craziest hot take?

October 13th–October 17th

  • Write a story in which you are being haunted by a ghost. 
  • Think of your favorite dystopian/futuristic book. What would your life be like living in that world?
  • What’s a time you had a moment of clarity or realization?

October 6th–October 10th

  • Imagine you meet a genie. What are your three wishes?
  • Write about a time you faced one of your biggest fears. 
  • What is a hobby or activity that you are passionate about?

September 28th–October 3rd

  • What’s a place that holds a special meaning to you?
  • Describe a dream you had and can’t forget. 
  • If you could swap lives with someone for a day, dead or alive, who would you choose?

2025–2026


March 17th–March 21st

  • What is your favorite genre to write in, and why? Is there any genre you strongly dislike writing? 
  • What do you look for when choosing a book? This could include certain types of cover art, plot elements, authors, reviews, etc. 

March 31st–April 4th

  • What do you do to help out in your community? When/why did you start doing this? 
  • What is a topic you’ve always wished people knew more about? Write a speech trying to inform your audience. 

April 7th–April 11th

  • Do you have any irrational fears? Try to confront your fear through a letter, story, poem, song, etc. 
  • Write a ‘day in the life’ story from the perspective of one of your most used objects.

April 14th–April 18th

  • If you had to be remembered for one quote, what would it be?
  • What’s a conversation you always wish had gone differently? Write a script of how you would want the conversation to have gone. 
  • Create your own original  riddle 

April 21st–April 25th

  • What makes a joke funny to you? 
  • The Greeks said there were six different types of love: Eros (desire), Philia (friendship), Ludus (playful love), agape (selfless love), pragma (longstanding love), and Philautia (self love).  write about one or several of these types of love.

April 28th–May 2nd

  • Write about what you consider to be one of/your best feature. This could be your personality, appearance, a certain talent you have, etc. 
  • Take your one of your favorite stories and rewrite it in a completely different genre. 

May 5th–May 9th

  • What social media hashtags would you use to describe yourself? 
  • If you could design a course on subject you are passionate about/want to learn more about, what would it be? Write about the assignments, course description, etc.

May 12th–May 16th

  • Write a horror story with yourself as the main character. What role would you play, how would you react?
